History of the "Paul&Shark" brand

“Paul&Shark” is an Italian brand that has gained worldwide popularity thanks to its refined and high-quality clothing for sailors, yachtsmen and everyone who appreciates comfort, style and excellent quality. Founded in 1976, "Paul & Shark" quickly became a symbol of nautical elegance and innovative materials.

Origin and philosophy

It all started with a small factory “Maglificio Daco”, which was opened by Giuseppe Daco in 1921. She was engaged in the production of sleeveless jackets, sweaters and accessories for men. Dako loved the factory, so he took it seriously. He independently developed the collections and personally took them outside his country. Thus, the models were sold in Iraq, Morocco, Palestine, Egypt and other countries. During the Second World War, the products of the Dako factory were no longer in such demand, so the company was on the verge of bankruptcy. That's why Giuseppe Dacco decides to sell the factory to Jean Ludovic Dina, who didn't know much about sales, but was an incomparable chemist. Dini decides to open his own pre-research center, which until now is engaged in the development of technological materials for the company's products. The "Paul&Shark" brand appeared in its usual form in the picturesque town of Canseppino, located on the northern coast of Italy. Jean Ludovic's son - Paolo Dini - continued his father's work, while combining his passion for the sea and fashion. This is how a modern brand was created, which was distinguished by high quality and unsurpassed style. The main mission was to produce clothing that would reflect the spirit of maritime culture and satisfy the highest demands of customers. The name of the brand came when Paolo, while visiting a small sailing workshop in Maine, found a sail from an old 18th century clipper that caught his attention. On it, he read the inscription that became the beginning of everything - "Paul&Shark".

First steps and success

In 1978, the first clothing collection “Paul&Shark” was created, which included exquisite sweaters, shirts and sports jackets. However, the real breakthrough came when the brand started using waterproofing and thermoregulation technologies for its products. This made it possible to create clothes that would be ideal for relaxing on a yacht or for sea adventures. In the same year, the C0P918 pullover appeared. This is a sailing sweater that has become a business card of "Paul&Shark". It was an instant success and marked the beginning of a whole new collection of water-repellent knitwear.

Innovation and development

During the following decades, “Paul&Shark” actively improved its technologies and materials. They combined traditional manual techniques with cutting-edge innovation to create clothing that met high standards of quality and comfort. The brand is known for its membrane technologies that protect against wind and moisture, as well as other innovations such as fabrics with a lace structure for optimal ventilation.

“Paul&Shark” today

Impeccable quality and unique style make “Paul&Shark” a leader in the world of nautical fashion. Their collections include clothes for all conditions - from quiet walks along the coast to active sea adventures. In addition to innovation, environmental friendliness is an important part of their philosophy. Today, "Paul&Shark" remains a leader in the field of production of marine clothing and clothing for yachtsmen. They have expanded their range to include women's and children's collections, as well as accessories and footwear. Their stores are located all over the world, and the brand itself is a recognized symbol of prestige, style and impeccable quality.

Therefore, "Paul&Shark" is a brand that combines maritime tradition, innovation and striving for the ideal. Its history is connected with the creation of refined and practical clothes for those who appreciate a stylish image and comfort.
